Merging duplicates

The same person should not be stored as multiple records.

Duplicates are created in FloMembers, for example, when a non-logged-in member registers for an event using an email address that is not found in the registry. In this case, a new person is created.

Duplicate management

FloMembers lists potential duplicates under Register > Duplicates.

Currently, the system is not able to merge duplicate records entirely automatically, but you can manually merge them into a single record as follows:

  1. Select the two records you want from the list of duplicates or use Manual comparison tab.

  2. Click Compare and decide which person to keep.

  3. Transfer the necessary event registrations from the person to be deleted to the person to be kept.

  4. Copy other necessary information from the person to be deleted to the person to be kept.

  5. Delete the unnecessary person.
